About Us
SEADOTs (Social-Ecological Ocean Management Applications using Digital Ocean Twins) is an ambitious EU-funded initiative aimed at transforming ocean management. By merging cutting-edge ocean data with socio-ecological models, SEADOTs helps policymakers and stakeholders make data-driven decisions for sustainable ocean use. The project focuses on key regions, addressing complex interactions between human activities and marine ecosystems to protect our oceans for future generations.
Key Project Objectives
Integrating socio-ecological and socio-economic data streams into Digital Ocean Twins (DOTs) to advance marine spatial planning.
Enabling "what-if" scenario analysis to assess the impact of human activities on marine ecosystems.
Promoting collaboration across scientific, industrial, and governmental stakeholders to ensure informed, holistic ocean management.
