The Ibermática Institute of Innovation (i3B) is the corporate R&D&I centre of the technology company Ibermática (now part of the Ayesa Group). Role in the project
• i3B will focus on coordinating the REED project and leading the definition of the bulky-part MaaS platform requirements, architecture, industrial target characterisation and KPI framework, including the initial data management foundations for the project
• Will also, contribute to the development of the REED platform smart services, tools and methods, with special emphasis on production aspects for flexible manufacturing, secure stakeholder interconnection, and the implementation of a specialised Manufacturing Data Space (MDS) for bulky part manufacturing.
• i3B will contribute, together with the relevant partners, to the integration of DPP-related capabilities in the platform
• Moreover, i3b will provide transversal support across the different research areas of REED, while also contributing to collaboration and synergies across the consortium.

Role in the project
• INTRA will define, design and implement the architecture and the operational requirements of the Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) platform, leveraging past project technologies like MARKET4.0 and DIMOFAC.
• INTRA will implement and integrate technologies and services into a unified platform through customised APIs that will enable the connection of the REED components and the relevant data exchanges that are required for the MaaS platform.
• On Digital tools and Data Management INTRA will contribute with the provision of software, modeling, data management, and monitoring tools to enhance manufacturing processes.
• In terms of the Exploitation and Dissemination activities, INTRA will lead the efforts in disseminating, communicating, and exploiting project results, including developing IPR management strategies.
SINTEF is one of the largest independent research organisations in Europe,with around 2200 employees of which about 46% of the researchers hold a doctorate degree. The Trustworthy Green IoT Software Research Group, which participates in the project, is part of the SCT department at SINTEF Digital, and focuses on research in software (AI) engineering and operation of intelligent and trustworthy systems spanning across the IoT, edge, and cloud continuum with a particular focus on sustainability. The SCT department of SINTEF have a long experience in building and managing EU projects. In the last 10 years, the SCT researchers have continuously had 2-5 on-going EU projects under their coordination. SCT also has a professional and experienced advisory team on financial management, legal support, and communication advisory for EU projects.
Role in the project
• SINTEF will focus on developing (Edge-based) standardized secure data sharing approaches, Edge-Cloud (data) orchestration; empowering DPP for the Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) platform; creating the corresponding Data Management Plan (DMP) for the whole project.
• Also, will concentrate on (Generative) AI approaches for human-AI collaboration in learning feedback loop that connects the real performance at production level of the manufacturing assets with different upper levels (process execution, production planning and even product design).
• SINTEF’s activities will center on supporting other tasks, including clustering activities, building synergies with other projects.
